Who we are

Corellia Talent Ltd is the controller of your personal data. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 17456347), our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (registration ZC248017). You can contact us about anything in this notice at privacy@corelliatalent.com.

The data we hold

  • Your name and contact details.
  • Your CV, work history, education, skills and the type of roles you are interested in.
  • Information you share with us, such as salary expectations, notice period, location and availability.
  • Notes from our conversations, interview feedback and the roles we have discussed or introduced you to.
  • Right-to-work information and references, only if you are being offered a role.

We do not ask for special category data (for example health, ethnicity or religion). Please do not send it to us unless we specifically need it, for example to make reasonable adjustments for an interview.

Where we get it

From you, and from publicly available professional sources such as LinkedIn, GitHub, conference and publication listings, and your own website. We may also receive your details from someone who refers you. If we collect your details from somewhere other than you, we will tell you within one month and point you to this notice.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your data to find and tell you about roles that may suit you, to introduce you to employers with your agreement, to arrange interviews and offers, and to keep in touch about future roles.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running a recruitment business that connects engineers with employers. We have balanced this against your rights, and you can object at any time. Where we carry out right-to-work checks, we do so to meet a legal obligation.

We will never send your CV or details to an employer without first telling you which company it is and getting your agreement.

Who we share it with

  • Employers you have agreed to be introduced to, which may be in the UK, the US or elsewhere.
  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as our recruitment software, email and calendar providers. They act on our instructions and under data processing agreements.
  • Professional advisers or authorities where the law requires it.

Our service providers include Google Workspace for business email and calendar bookings, OpenAI for website hosting and the enquiry form, Cloudflare for hosting infrastructure and website security, Spott for recruitment records, Slack for internal communication, Xero for accounting, Make for workflow automation and enquiry notifications, and Anthropic for AI-assisted work. The information used by each provider depends on the service involved; submitting this form does not automatically send your enquiry to every provider. Website enquiries are stored through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure, and Make routes enquiry notifications to our Google Workspace inbox. Website enquiries already contain personal data even when you do not provide a CV. See our website privacy notice for details of this enquiry flow.

We do not sell your personal data.

Sending data outside the UK

Some employers and service providers are outside the UK. Where data goes to a country without a UK adequacy decision, we use approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.

Software and AI

We use recruitment software, including AI-assisted tools, to organise information and help us find relevant roles. A person always makes the decisions. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.

How long we keep it

  • If we have not placed you, we keep your details, including website enquiry information, for up to 24 months from our last meaningful contact, then delete them or ask whether you would like us to keep them.
  • If we place you in a role, we keep the placement records for 6 years, for legal and tax reasons.
  • Right-to-work evidence is kept for the length of the engagement plus 2 years.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • restrict how we use it
  • object to us using it, including for keeping in touch about roles
  • send it to you or another organisation in a portable format

Email privacy@corelliatalent.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

We will update this notice if the way we use your data changes, and show the date of the latest version at the top.
